Everything you need to know about the new Tottenham Hotspur kits for the 2023-24 season

Tottenham and Nike are set to partner up for another Premier League season in 2023-24, as they look to give themselves a fresh fit for a new era. With the managerial merry-go-round yet to find a permanent successor for Antonio Conte’s space in the dugout, there’s plenty up in the air, but whoever comes in to take the reins will at least have a squad who looks good on the pitch.

The American sportswear giant knocked it out of the park in 2022-23, the latest campaign of a bumper 15-year partnership signed way back in 2018, offering up a mix of classic chic appeal and luminescent art-school adventure across their three key strips, with that blend of patterns likely set to inform just how the Lilywhites will look as they look to bounce back from another disappointing season.

Nike unveiled the Tottenham 2023-24 home kit on June 8, reinventing and bringing back the traditional all-Lilywhite colourway.

So, what new kits will Tottenham wear in 2023-24? GOAL takes a look at the jerseys that are set to be sported by Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and more, while we also give you the lowdown on rumours and leaks alongside details on how to buy them online.

Details on when we can expect to see Tottenham’s new home kit for the 2023-24 season are yet to be revealed, but it could well be before the club conclude their current campaign.

Apparent leaks online suggest they will be sticking close to a tried-and-tested formula, pairing an iconic whole-body white with navy caps across the sleeves, similar to the design seen this term.

It appears that Spurs will do away with the yellow-and-blue trim around the neckline in favour of a clean, round cut, stepping away to a point from the popular crew style and favouring a minimalist approach.

Lastly, soft geometric patterns are expected to be textured across the midriff of the body, recalling the muted designs that underpinned their white home strip across the 2020-21 season.

There is no release date for the Tottenham 2023-24 home kit yet, but we expect the unveiling to drop very soon, with Nike preparing to launch their strips for the new campaign.

The price of the kit will likely match this season’s cost, with a replica shirt generally retailing from Nike for £75.00

Much as with the home kit, both Spurs and Nike have kept the finer details under wraps for what they have in store for the 2023-24 away kit, fueled only by rumours and speculation. However, it does appear there will be some significant departures.

Following on from this season’s purple-and-navy number, Tottenham looks set to lean deeper into blue, with a darkened, almost metallic-grey hue, accompanied by lighter underarm accents.

The most radical change, however, maybe the addition of a polo-shirt-style collar, presenting an open neckline shaded in a more traditional blue scheme. If it seems familiar, it may remind fans of the 2006-07 goalkeeper strip worn by Paul Robinson.

The price of the kit will likely match that of the home strip, with a replica shirt expected to retail for £75.00 at Nike.

As with the away strip, there is not too much known about the finer points of the 2023-24 third kit Spurs will sport this coming season, though it looks set to bring one of their lesser-used colours.

Early leaks and speculation suggest Tottenham’s alternative strip will offer a crew-neck cut hued in a singular, solid shade of gun-metal grey, offering a uniform finish with little in the way of frills.

Light, slate-coloured accents around the neck will offer a splash of contrast, while traditional Tottenham navy looks set to cap the sleeves for an elegantly simple, if somewhat muted, finish.

As with the rest of the club’s wardrobe, not much is known about an exact release date, but you can expect it to match the price of their other strips, retailing at an anticipated £75.00 through Nike.

Tottenham 2023-24 training kit, release date & priceNike Get it at Nike

Having kept most of their options simple and classy for the upcoming season, it would stand to reason Spurs might bring a splash of dynamic colour – witness this year’s splatter strip – to their training kit.

While details are yet to be officially revealed, however, leaks suggest the club look set for another simple two-tone number instead, marrying a light-grey body to midnight-navy or even black sleeves.

In a way, the kit recycles and reverts the design and colour schemes of their 2018-19 away strip, though it offers less textured patterns and more muted hues overall.

There is no release date set for the pre-match jersey, but we can expect to see a summer 2023 launch.

The best Premier League fantasy football defenders for 2023-24

Will it up to points or building your backline in a budget for the upcoming campaign?

The 2023-24 season of the Premier Leaguefantasy football is back and live.

You have a £100 million budget to begin with and with that amount, you might have to splash the cash on at least a few premium buys such as Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, or even get Trent Alexander-Arnold in there.

But lest you remember to complete your squad of 15 players including five defenders within budget, yet keep the team competitive, especially with a lot of cost-effective options from the newly-promoted sides. GOAL can help you here.

Getty ImagesTrent Alexander-Arnold | Liverpool | £8.0m

The Liverpool right-back was third among the top defender of the gone season, with 156 points. But he now makes it into the premium category with a price tag of £8.0m from £7.5m in Gameweek 1 last season. He is now only behind John Terry (£8.5m) in the all-time most expensive starting defender.

His worth comes from the versatility he brings to the table as someone who can double up as a central midfielder. Thus picking Alexander-Arnold over a £6.5m Andrew Robertson could make sense, especially as the England international picked up 60 points with a goal and seven assists in the Reds' last 10 games.

AdvertisementGetty ImagesKieran Trippier | Newcastle | £6.5m

At 198 points, Trippier was the top defender in the 2022-23 season, given that Newcastle earned themselves a Champions League slot as well. His start cost last season was £5.0m, to be valued at £6.0m by the end of the campaign. So the £6.5m ahead of this season is pretty fair.

He hit a bit of slack in the latter half of last season but had already compensated with his overall numbers, such as 393 crosses, 135 successful crosses, and 216 corners, the highlight being the 83 successful corners.

Getty ImagesVirgil van Dijk | Liverpool | £6.0m

With Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp opting for the 3-2-2-3 system, it makes for a reason good enough to spend £0.5m less and pick Van Dijk over Robertson. Why? Because Robertson wouldn't necessarily flair as much at the left side of the three-man backline as much as he would as a left-back.

On the other hand, the Dutchman managed to pick up 127 points even in a below-par season for the Reds, starting 32 games and posing as a threat during set-pieces as well. Nine shots on target from a total of 22 shots and scored three goals (3.93 xG) are numbers to back that claim.

(C)Getty ImagesLuke Shaw | Manchester United | £5.5m

Manchester United registered 12 clean sheets last season from the 24 league games wherein Erik ten Hag deployed the traditional left-back as a center-back. Shaw particularly had a strong display in the second half of the season.

He also proved to be good at garnering bonus points, with 34 created chances, although he had a low on goal attempts (14) and xGI (3.98). It could have been directly between Shaw and Kieran Trippier if the former was valued at £6.0m as opposed to getting a good bargain at £5.5m right now.

Who are the youngest players in Champions League history?

GOAL takes a look at some of the youngest players to have debuted in the UEFA Champions League.

The UEFA Champions League has seen some of the best players make history on the biggest stage in European club football throughout it's history. From Lionel Messi's magical performances to Cristiano Ronaldo's smashing of goal-scoring records, Champions League has had all the key ingredients to serve the perfect delicacy to football fans.

The competition has served as one of the biggest platforms for footballers to showcase their talents when the world is watching. But the constant battle of European rivals has also served as an opportunity to many young footballers to display their class in front of the million fans glued to their television.

Youssoufa Moukoko became the youngest UCL debutant back in 2020 when he featured for Borussia Dortmund, smashing a long-standing record set by Celestine Babayaro. GOAL takes a look at some of the youngest names to have featured for their side in the competition.

Getty ImagesYoussoufa Moukoko | Borussia Dortmund | 16 years 18 days

German international Youssoufa Moukoko has turned out to be one of the biggest prodigies coming out of Dortmund's side. The Black and Yellows are known for finding diamonds at a young age and Moukoko is another one coming from the German heavyweights.

Moukoko made his UEFA Champions League debut from the bench against Hertha Berlin just a day after turning 16 on 21st November. But the forward was given his first opportunity in the starting eleven a few weeks later when he was in Dortmund's lineup against Zenit on 8th December 2020.

As the whistle blew, Moukoko became the youngest debutant for a side in the UCL history taking away a 26-year-old record. Borussia Dortmund won the game and Moukoko has since established himself as a key starter in the side.

AdvertisementGetty ImagesCelestine Babayaro | Anderlecht | 16 years 86 days

The previous record-holder for the youngest debutant in Champions League history, Celestine Babayaro started for Belgian side Anderlecht against Steaua in the 1994/95 season.

At 16 years and 86 days, the raw talent was seen as a shining star for the future and he justified his expectations later on his career. The left-back made the switch to Chelsea in 1997 where he won two crucial silverwares including UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the FA Cup.

Although the Nigerian's dream of having an iconic debut were shattered after he was given the marching orders in the first-half, Babayaro had already etched his name in the history books.

GettyRayan Cherki | Lyon | 16 years and 102 days

Another young prodigy looking to make his mark on the biggest stage in club football, Rayan Cherki rose up the ranks from Lyon B to Lyon's first team. The French international is considered one of the finest footballers to step foot on the pitch with his jaw-dropping control and thunderous strikes.

After performing magnificently for the French club in the UEFA Youth League, Cherki was introduced to the world in the UEFA Champions League against Zenit as he came on a substitute midway through the second-half of the game.

One month after his Ligue 1 debut, Cherki had been handed an opportunity to showcase his talent in Europe's pinnacle club competition and despite Lyon losing the game, the youngster had showcased what was about to come in the future. Now just aged 20, Cherki is being eyed by some of Europe's biggest sides after becoming an influential cog in Lyon's forward battery.

Back in 2012, Dinamo Zagreb locked horns with a star studded Paris Saint-Germain side at the Stadion Maksimir in a fiesty Group A clash. Despite the Croatian side failing to produce an upset in the game, they did leave the fixture with a massive positive.

A 16-year-old Alen Halilovic was introduced by Dinamo's manager in the last knockings of the game. Despite the Croatian not getting ample game time in the fixture, the player did go on to become one of Dinamo's most crucial players.

Considered the heir to Luka Modric's throne, Halilovic has already smashed records domestically after being the youngest scorer in Prva Liga history.

La Liga Team of the Decade: Messi, Ronaldo & Griezmann form deadly attack

As the 2010s come to an end, Goal casts its eye back to pick out the best players in Spain's top flight over the past 10 years

GettyGK: Jan Oblak

Arriving in La Liga in 2014 as the then most expensive goalkeeper in the league, Jan Oblak was viewed as the man to replace Thibaut Courtois for Atletico Madrid. It quickly became clear, however, that he would surpass the Belgium international in the Spanish capital.

The Slovenian shot-stopper has been named La Liga's Best Goalkeeper for the past four seasons and is the most consistent keeper in Spain's top-flight – rarely making the type of errors number ones at Real Madrid or Barcelona have become prone to.

Oblak's best domestic campaign came in 2015-16 when he conceded just 18 times across 38 league games, with his performances enough to see him selected in our team ahead of the likes of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Victor Valdes and Keylor Navas.

AdvertisementGetty ImagesRB: Dani Alves

While his time in La Liga came to an abrupt end with Barcelona in 2016, Dani Alves had been a key part of the Catalans' treble-winning side.

The Brazilian's speed, technical ability and physical strength made him a massive asset for Barca down the right flank.

While he was named in the La Liga Team of the Year just once, Alves' ability and influence was often under-rated and his recent form for Brazil is a reminder the 36-year-old was and is a special talent.

GettyCB: Gerard Pique

From a fringe player at Manchester United to a star at Barcelona, Gerard Pique's move to La Liga has paid off handsomely.

A rock in the Catalans' backline and a rallying figure for the club, the Spanish defender has been key to Barca's success over the past decade.

Pique has eight La Liga titles to his name and is a man that knows how to step up when his side needs him most.

Getty ImagesCB: Sergio Ramos

Talking of stepping up, Sergio Ramos has become an expert at doing just that for Real Madrid. The veteran defender is not only ruthless at the back, but surprisingly clinical in attack.

Ramos' ability in front of goal has proven regularly crucial for Los Blancos over the past decade with the Spaniard chipping in with 37 league goals since the start of the 2010-11 season.

In defence, he has become infamous for poor discipline and is the most carded player in La Liga history, but those 'dark arts' have also often proved decisive for his side.

The 29-year-old was supposed to help take the Blues to the next level after severing ties with Manchester City as a four-time Premier League title winner.

Bowen scores trio of goals against BrentfordFirst hat-trick of careerWest Ham man sends message to SouthgateGetty ImagesWHAT HAPPENED?

The England boss will still have plenty of decisions to make ahead of this summer's European Championships, and Bowen gave himself the best chance of selection against Brentford on Monday. The West Ham star scored twice before the break, the first a sliced effort at the near post before an instinctive close-range finish. He completed his hat-trick three minutes past the hour mark with a deft header to meet Mohamed Kudus' cross.

Brentford twice clawed back in the match through Neal Maupay and Yoane Wissa, before a stunning strike from Emerson Palmieri rounded out a 4-2 win for David Moyes' side – their first of 2024.

Bowen had been going through somewhat of a dry spell in the league, having not scored since December in a 2-0 victory over Manchester United. But with Monday's trio of goals the 27-year-old is far and away the Hammers' top scorer with 14 efforts to his name, as he stakes his claim to be in Southgate's squad for Euro 2024. His best spell in the Three Lions squad came in their 2022 Nations League campaign, where he made four appearances, but he has collected just one cap since.

Man Utd 8-2 Arsenal: Where are Rooney, Nani and the stars that helped Ferguson humble Wenger?

When two of English football's great rivals met on August 28, 2011, nobody could have expected what followed

Wayne Rooney bangs in a hat-trick. Ashley Young owns the top right corner. Arsenal smashed. Manchester United and Old Trafford in dreamland. No one will ever forget the day Sir Alex Ferguson humbled his long-time rival Arsene Wenger in one of the most remarkable games in Premier League history.

An 8-2 win on August 28, 2011 stunned the Gunners and the rest of United's title rivals – coming just three games into the season and sending out a resounding statement of intent.

Ferguson's team was in a state of evolution as he began to disband his last great side: the Champions League-winners of 2008.

No Cristiano Ronaldo or Carlos Tevez. Paul Scholes had retired, Ryan Giggs was getting older, and absent from the starting line-up on the day were Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Michael Carrick.

This was a glimpse into the future. A look at Ferguson's work-in-progress – even on the back of a title-winning campaign the previous season.

On this day, they looked every bit like champions again. Manchester City would have other ideas, of course. Aguerooooo! and all that.

But for 90 minutes at Old Trafford, United were absolutely unstoppable…

GettyGK: David de Gea

A young goalkeeper relatively unknown to English football fans had only just signed for United, embarking on the daunting challenge of filling the void left by Edwin van der Sar.

He would go on to struggle badly in his first season, losing his place to Anders Lindegaard midway through the campaign. But he would later establish himself as one of the finest keepers of his generation and is still United's undisputed No1.

AdvertisementGetty ImagesRB: Chris Smalling

Deployed at right-back on the day, Smalling was still establishing himself at United after a £10m ($12.2m) move from Fulham the previous year.

Never truly fulfilled his potential at Old Trafford and not helped by the number of managerial changes since the retirement of Ferguson.

Famously called 'Mike' by Louis van Gaal, he has rebuilt his reputation and career in Italy with Roma under another former United boss, Jose Mourinho.

Getty ImagesCB: Phil Jones

Ferguson was convinced he had recruited a future great from Blackburn Rovers in Phil Jones, who could play centre-back, full-back and in midfield.

United's plan was for him to establish himself in the heart of defence as Ferguson started to look beyond Ferdinand and Vidic.

At the end of Fergie's final season the following year, he declared Jones as having the potential to become the greatest player in the club's history.

Injuries and the lack of Ferguson's guidance contributed to his career being derailed but he's still at the club to this day, though United are ready to sell him this summer.

Getty ImagesCB: Jonny Evans

Another part of Ferguson's plan to overhaul his defence – along with Jones and Smalling – Evans was seen as the future.

While Gerard Pique was allowed return to Barcelona over doubts about his suitability to the Premier League, Evans was seen as a real contender to force his way into the first team.

By Ferguson's final season, he had begun to break up the Vidic-Ferdinand partnership.

Sold by Van Gaal in 2015, it is a decision still questioned by fans.

Man City player ratings vs Wolves: Erling Haaland anonymous as dodgy defending costs champions in first Premier League loss of the season

Pep Guardiola's side suffered their first league defeat of the season as they went down 2-1 at Molineux

Manchester City's perfect start to the Premier League season was brought to an end as they were beaten 2-1 by a solid Wolves team on Saturday. Pep Guardiola will certainly not forget the name of Hwang Hee-chan again after the forward netted the winning goal just a day after the City boss labelled him "the Korean guy" in his press conference.

Hwang and his Wolves team-mates certainly showed more fight than many of their City counterparts as the home side completely suffocated the visitors' defence for the 90 minutes. Wolves rendered Erling Haaland and Phil Foden irrelevant, gave Matheus Nunes a horrid time on his return and capitalised on Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias' sloppiness to net two goals, cancelling out Julian Alvarez's lovely free-kick.

GOAL rates City's players from Molineux…

GettyGoalkeeper & Defence

Ederson (5/10):

Only had one shot on target to deal with in the whole game and it got past him.

Kyle Walker (5/10):

Pushed really high up, giving away too much space defensively and not creating enough going forward.

Manuel Akanji (6/10):

Had some good moments on the ball and a vital tackle but his awful attempt at a clearance created Wolves' second.

Ruben Dias (4/10):

Inadvertently knocked the ball into his own net and then let Hwang nip in behind him for the second after blocking the initial effort.

Nathan Ake (4/10):

Decent in the build-up but was fell to pieces against Neto's pace, leading to the opening goal. Gave Semedo all the time he needed to whip the ball in for Wolves' second, too.

AdvertisementGettyMidfield

Matheus Nunes (4/10):

A rough return to the Molineux as he was jeered with every touch and did nothing with the ball.

Mateo Kovacic (6/10):

Got stuck in with tackles to win the ball in midfield but his passing wasn't great.

Julian Alvarez (7/10):

Fired in a great free-kick to equalise and was good on the ball overall despite the oppressive Wolves defence.

GettyAttack

Phil Foden (5/10):

A quiet performance as Wolves managed to block him whenever he got on the ball.

Erling Haaland (3/10):

Barely involved and only had half of a chance early in the second half.

Jeremy Doku (6/10):

Got on the ball a lot and was a lively threat from the beginning but connecting in the final third was always tough.

GettySubs & Manager

Oscar Bobb (7/10):

Replaced Nunes and looked a lot better. Quicker on the ball and set up Haaland for his first real chance.

Kalvin Phillips (5/10):

Missed the target with a shot from outside the box after replacing Kovacic.

Jack Grealish (5/10):

On for the last 10 minutes but had little space against the defence,

Pep Guardiola (4/10):

His team dominated possession but they were completely smothered by the Wolves defence and only an Alvarez free-kick brought his team back level with their hosts. Taking Nunes off for Bobb was a smart move, but it was the only effective change for an ineffective City team.

The World Cup qualifier at Rio de Janeiro's famous stadium was delayed by over 30 minutes on Tuesday night after police intervened to reported booing of the Brazilian national anthem by Albiceleste supporters. This set the tone for a feisty encounter from which Argentina emerged victorious, thanks to a Nicolas Otamendi strike, but Messi was sure to draw attention to fans suffering after the full time whistle.
